Herbert 'Herb' W. Barnhart

Herbert W. Herb Barnhart, 71, of Catlin, passed away at 7:36am, Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at his home. He was born on October 8, 1943, in Danville, IL, the son of Hershel and Naomi {Biteler} Barnhart. On July 8, 1967, he was united in marriage to Lera M. Morris in Danville, IL. She will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by: his daughters, Carla (Butch) Roseman of Westville & Missy (Mark) Ritter of Ramsey, IL; his grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Miller of Danville, Nicole (Darric) Nail of Indianapolis, IN, Wes Lindsey, Cecelia & Jason Ritter of Ramsey, IL; his great grandchildren, Logan McBride Cox, Amelia & Wyatt Miller of Danville, Jackson & Memphis Nail of Indianapolis, IN; and his sister, Wanda (Dale) Onley of Worden, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Maretta Nicholson. Herb was a 1961 Graduate of Danville High School. He retired from Heatcraft of Danville after 48 years of service, 17 of those years were spent in Stone Mountain, Georgia Plant. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and playing cards. The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to Carle Hospice for all the care they showed to them during this difficult time. As per his wishes, Herb will be cremated. A Memorial Visitation to celebrate his life will be held from 5pm to 7pm, Friday, December 19, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Danville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in his name to C.A.R.A. in Tilton, IL.
