Henry 'Hank' Nardoni

Bismarck- Henry P. Nardoni, 89, of Bismarck, formerly of Arkansas, passed away at 9:30 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at his home. He was born on May 11, 1924 in Chicago Heights, IL to Albert and Maria DiGiacomo Nardoni. He married Jeanette Nadine Voyles on April 9, 1945 in San Diego, CA. She preceded him in death on May 20, 2007. He is survived by two children, Paula (Mark) Berrier of Sherman, TX and Ray (Cheryl) Nardoni of Bismarck, IL; three siblings, Carlo (Janet) Nardoni, Eleanor Gagliano, and Renaldo (Darlene) Nardoni; six grandchildren, Becca (David) Graham, Mark (Shannan) Berrier II, Tim (Sandra) Nardoni, Todd (Mandi) Nardoni, Lindy (Brad) Belley, and Jeff (Tiffany) Nardoni; 16 great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Leahna, William, Lauren, Judah, Joshua, Jonathan, Ezra, Dakota, Billie, Elijah, Ben, Selah, Maggie, Ava, and Liam; and special friends, Dale and Mary Deain, and Joe and Rosalee Poindexter. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Nancy Garzelloni, Evelyn Borgo, Betty Tollis, and Lorraine Nardoni; and a great-grandson, Thao Nardoni. Henry worked as a pressman for R.R. Donnelly and Sons Lakeside Press in Chicago until his retirement after 42 years of service. He was a handyman and used his mechanical inclination to develop several inventions over the years, several of which were used in his work at the press and to care for his wife Jenny. Henry loved to golf, and had used his excellent skills to instruct others over the years. He also had another passion in politics. Henry would often watch Fox News and CNN to feed his civic-minded pastimes. Many letters and articles were written to politicians and newspapers sharing and explaining his views. He was also importantly a God fearing man and had been a member at the Barcelona Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village, AR for 32 years. Henry loved his family, and was an excellent caregiver to his wife. He will be remembered as a generous, witty and fun-loving man. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Henry Nardoni will be held in the Summer of 2014. Cremation rites will be accorded by Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with various charities.
