Henry Dequimpaul, 86, of Westville, left this life, at 7:55 a.m. Friday June 17, 2005 at North Logan Health Care Center in Danville. He was born on May 13, 1919 in Johnson City, IL the son of Alec and Joan Robasse Dequimpaul. He married Mary Janosik on October 24, 1943 in Westville, IL. She survives. Also surviving: One son, Tom (Kay) Dequimpaul of Danville and their children, Angela, Sarah, Danielle, and Stephanie; two daughters, Jeanne (Bob) Winland of Georgetown and their children, Mark and Jay, and Debbie (Dan) Petet of Oakwood and their children, Scott, Nichole, and Tara; three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Joan and Louisa, and one grandson, Jeremy. Henry retired as supervisor of the motor pool at the VA Hospital in Danville after 25 years. He served in the US Army during WWII and saw combat in Germany and France. During his retirement he enjoyed fishing, camping, and listening to his polka music. He realized his goal of visiting every state in the continental U.S. Henry dearly loved his family and worked hard all of his life to provide a loving home. Special thanks to his nurse, Pat Pratt, who cared lovingly for him for the past 31/2 years.
