Henrietta M (Swisher) Hancock went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Monday, February 12, 2007 at North Logan Health Care in Danville. Henrietta was born September 4, 1919 in Danville the only daughter of Rev. Elmer and Mable (Winsor) Swisher. On December 1, 1938 she married H. Harold Hancock. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1976. Henrietta spent her entire life serving the Lord. She helped in raising her five brothers. Henrietta was a life time member of the Westside Nazarene Church where she took an active role in Sunday school teaching and also loved singing, many songs she never forgot the words to. She collected angels, loved reading and writing letters. Henrietta is survived by one daughter: Linda C. Porter of Danville; Granddaughters: Seresa Gardner of Danville, Nerissa Place of Oakwood, Nerinda Vaughn of Indianapolis, IN. Nine great grandchildren: Holly, Jessica, Christian, Austin, McCale, Dalton, Preston, Taylor, and Hallie; two brothers: Luke Swisher of Danville, Elmer (Libby) Swisher of Cayuga, IN; several nieces and nephews, four that held a special place in her heart, Douglas Swisher, Connie Morris, Toni Swisher of Danville and Ray Swisher of Ohio; also two life long friends: Ruby Moulton and Maggie Brown both of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Grandson: Lanny R. Porter; son in law: Charles E. Porter; brothers: Samuel, Daniel, and Rev. Paul Swisher; a nephew: Danny D. Swisher and a very special sister in law: Lillian Swisher. She will be greatly missed by her family and neighbors that where always so good to her. Great is her reward in Heaven
