HELEN WARNER Helen Warner, 81, of Danville, passed away at 11:20 p.m. Monday, December 6th, 2010, at the Illinois Knight Templar Home in Paxton, Illinois. Helen was born on August 1st, 1929 in Danville, the daughter of Lawrence and Hazel (Johnson) Reese. She married Jerry Warner on November 18th, 1951 in Hoopeston. He preceded her in death on June 26th, 1998. She is survived by two sons- Robert (Teresa) Warner of Urbana and Donald (Kathy Leahy) Warner of Bismarck; one daughter- Cynthia (Mark) Moon of St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers- James (Rhonda) Reese of Sterling, Illinois and Bob Reese of Danville; five sisters- Evelyn (Bill) White of Alvin, Lois Reese of Braidwood, Illinois, Donna Heideman of Crete, Illinois, Irene Maul and Bonnie Allen both of Hoopeston; six grandchildren- Ashley Camillo, Brittany Camillo, Brent Camillo, Jarrett Warner, Justin Moon and Tyler Moon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a grandson- Mark Warner. Helen graduated from Bismarck High School. She worked at Mills Publication in Hoopeston and at the VA Hospital in the Canteen. She was a member of the Chestnut Church of Christ in Hoopeston for several years, where she played the piano. She enjoyed doing word puzzles, watching birds, playing the piano, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Helen also enjoyed playing Canasta with her friends at the Immanuel Lutheran Home every night. A Celebration of the Life of Helen Warner will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 10th, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor Earl Ells officiating. Burial will follow the service in Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
