Helen Tucker

Helen Tucker 88, of Seminole, Florida (formerly Georgetown, IL) passed away in the early morning on October 18, 2018 at her home The Vineyard Inn. She was born the daughter of Burcie McGinzy and James William Gentry in Muncie, IN on May 18, 1930. Helen married the love of her life Kenneth Tucker on March 22, 1946 in Muncie. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2011. Helen is survived by a daughter; Vicki Kilgaski of Springhill, FL and son Donald Tucker (Amy) of Branson, MO. Helen is survived by 6 loving grandchildren: Troy Henson (Amy), Traci Taylor (Mark), Michael Tucker (Kristin), Bradley Tucker (Mandi), Jesse Tucker, and Mason Tucker and 9 great grandchildren: Kathryn and Madelyn Tucker, Conner and Emily Henson, Trent and Katelyn Taylor, Brandon, Eli and Lydia Tucker. Helen retired early from General Electric so that she and Ken could move to Florida for their golden years with family. Helen was a member of the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida, where she was admired and loved for her commitment to her faith and friendship. After moving to The Vineyard Inn, Helen was the unofficial ambassador to all the residents. Helen made everyone special and part of the Vineyard family. Celebration of Helen's life will be held 11:00 am Monday, October 22, 2018 at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West Street, Georgetown IL. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to Pinecrest Elementary School, 505 S. Kennedy Dr., Georgetown.
