Helen M. Roberts

Helen passed peacefully at her home in Champaign surrounded by her family on Tuesday November 12, 2024. She was born in Franklin, OH, to Hattie Mae Williams and John Kotval on August 1, 1930. She was the oldest of five siblings; preceded in death by her brothers John, Jerry, Charles and survived by her sister Sandra (McBroom).

She married Wilbert (Bob) Dale Roberts on July 31, 1952, in Argo, IL. Bob passed away in 1992. They had three children: Laura (Michael Andrejasich), David (Janis Springer) and Michelle. She had four grandchildren (Brandi, Elizabeth, Bill, and Jessica) and six great grandchildren (Sydney, Jack, Max, Margo, Desmond and Beatrix). She had many loving nieces and nephews.

She had an almost four-decade career in Banking and Real Estate. In retirement she was an active volunteer for many good causes including years as a hospice caregiver. One of her favorite volunteer activities was working summers at the Snow Mountain Ranch in Winter Park, CO.

She was a devout Christian and member of the Meadowbrook Community Church in Champaign. She regularly participated bible studies & prayer groups and loved playing SkipBo, dominoes & board games with her family and many church friends. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Carle Hospice and Home Instead Champaign.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Meadowbrook Community Church 1902 S Duncan Rd. Champaign, IL. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 11:00am.
