DANVILLE- Helen R. Berlin, 84, of Danville, formerly of Sidell, passed away at 11:55am on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Tilton. Helen was born on August 8, 1922, in Bellflower, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Nellie Smith Robbins. Both of her parents precede her in death. On August 21, 1943, Helen married Herschel Bill Berlin in Sidell. He preceded her in death in 1984. Helen leaves behind and will be missed by: her son, Mike (Pam) Berlin of Hoopeston; her two grandchildren, Michael (Mechelle) Berlin of Hoopeston, Tamara (Bruce) Drake of Decatur, IL; five great-grandchildren, Laina Williams, Geoffrey Berlin, Courtney Williams, Alexis Berlin, and Payton Berlin; her brother, Charles (Ruth) Robbins of Fisher, IL; and her sister, Mary Aldean Pickering of Decatur. One brother and two sisters precede Helen in death. Helen was a member of the Methodist Church located in Fisher, IL. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, journal keeping, and genealogy. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She forever loved her son Mike, and daughter-in-law Pam, they were the love of her life. A celebration of the life of Helen Berlin is scheduled for 11:00am on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home located at 200 E. West St. in Georgetown. Officiating the service will be Pastor Leon Korb. Final resting place will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service on Wednesday, August 8, 2007.
