Helen Marie Castillo

Danville - Helen Marie Castillo, 78, of Danville, IL passed away at 1:19 am on July 29, 2016 at her home in Danville. Helen was born on August 28, 1937 in Hoopeston, IL the daughter of John and Stella (Oberland) Baker, Sr. She married Virgil "Pete" Williams on July 12, 1954 and he preceded her in death on October 21, 1978. She later married Carlos Castillo on December 5, 1981 and he preceded her in death on August 17, 2004. Survivors include: two sons; Richard (Julie) Williams of Champaign, IL and Terry Williams, three daughters; Rose Williams of Manito, IL, Melinda Sandlin and Melissa Leclaire both of Iowa City, IA, one brother; Johnny (Mary) Baker of Hoopeston, IL, 9 grandchildren; Zachary Williams, Amanda Williams, Joshua Williams, Megan Blakeney, Kalyna Miller, Alex Espinoza, Anthony Castillo, Kristen Castillo and Kyle Sandlin, as well as 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both of her husbands, two sons; Virgil "Pete" Williams and Bruce Williams, two sisters; Barbara Winters and Betty Schwartz and one granddaughter; Carmen Espinoza. Helen was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses and enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, and traveling. She loved photography and spending time with family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses at 619 East Voorhees Street in Danville, IL. Officiating will be David Field. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Danville, IL. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. Sunset Funeral Home in Danville, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
