Perrysville, Ind. - Helen M. Brannin, 88, of Perrysville, passed away at 10 a.m. CDT Friday, August 8, 2014 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. She was born September 2, 1925 in Covington, Indiana the daughter of the late Amos and Lydia McCurry Shuman. She married Harold D. Brannin on December 29, 1951 in Covington, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1987. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Greer of Perrysville, Indiana and Tina(Doug)Marcinko of Covington, Indiana; four sons, Thomas(Teresa)Kendrick, Phillip Brannin, Rick(Kathy)Brannin and Jimmy Brannin all of Perrysville, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; twentytwo great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Brannin and son-in-law, Eugene Greer. Helen served as President for the Perrysville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary for many years. She was also a member of the Perrysville American Legion Auxiliary Unit #350. Helen enjoyed playing solitaire, bunco, gardening and going to Wallace, Indiana to the Highway 341. Funeral services: 10 a.m. EDT Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana ; Officiating: Rev. Jason Dean; Burial: Lower Mound Cemetery north of Perrysville, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Monday, August 11, 2014 at the funeral home with Auxiliary services by the Perrysville Volunteer Fire Department at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
