Perrysville, Ind. --Helen L. Pollare, 87, of Perrysville and formerly of Tampa, Florida, passed away at 2:35 a.m. EST Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport, Indiana. She was born May 2, 1924 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Burel and Hazel Young McCarroll. She married Tony Pollare in Tampa, Florida. He preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Rev. Robert(Weezie)G. Roop of Perrysville, Indiana; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and niece, Ann(Sam)Lazzaro of Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Helen Ann Roop. Helen formerly worked at K-Mart in Tampa as a supervisor. She was a member of the Stringtown Church of God, D.A.V. and O.E.S. Helen enjoyed working in her yard, crafts and sewing. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. EST Friday, January 13, 2012 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610; Burial: Myrtle Hill Memorial Park in Tampa, Florida.
