Helen L. Brown, 85, of Danville, passed away on March 18, 2016 at North Logan Healthcare Center in Danville. She was born on August 9, 1930 in Danville, the daughter of Donald and Thelma (Musson) Pollock. She married William E. Kammin and later Harlan Clapp. Both husbands preceded her in death. Helen will be deeply missed by her children; Jennifer Klein of Danville, Thelma Hines of Chicago and Chris (Frances) Clapp of Danville, one brother, Harold "Butch" Pollock of Veedersburg, IN, six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son, Elmer Clapp, seven brothers; Donald, Bill, Wendell, Ed, Robert "Jim", Alva and Walter "Mick" Pollock, one sister, Loretta Lapens and one son-in-law, William Klein. Helen enjoyed her friends and staff at North Logan Healthcare Center. She liked playing cards, bingo and listening to music provided by the volunteers. Her family will miss her dearly. A celebration of Helen's life will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Jay Sorell officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. Helen will be laid to rest at a later date at Springhill Cemetery. Memorials can be made in her name to C.A.R.A Animal Shelter or the American Alzheimer's Association.
