Helen King, 91, of Danville, went to be with the Lord December 29, 2012, at her home. She was born May 17, 1921, in Armstrong, IL to Roy and Maude (Frye) Ellett. Helen married Edwin King on August 23, 1938. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Helen loved to play Euchre and Bingo and enjoyed spending time in her garden and reading. Helen is survived by two daughters, Ruth King of Danville and Pamela Leonard of Thomasboro; 12 grandchildren, Cara King, Marla Tuggle, Todd King, Sara Moore, Kelly Huron, Krissi Smith, Scotty King Jr., Eric King, Lorie Santicola, Rich Leonard, Lisa Mennenga and Michael Leonard; 25 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; one daughter in-law, Jeanette King and one sister, Barbara Houle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; two sons, Edwin King and Scotty King; one daughter in-law, Linda King; one brother, Leroy Ellett and one great granddaughter, Kourtney Leonard. A celebration of Helen's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home, Danville, with Pastor Bill Carpenter officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Collison Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given, in her name, to Faith Church of Christ or American Cancer Society.
