Helen Kaulig

Helen Jacobson Kaulig, age 89, formerly of Metcalf, IL, passed away at 6:15 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village. She was born September 30, 1918 in Hancock, Michigan the tenth child of Otto Wilhelm and Mary Lydia (Maki) Jacobson. Helen married Frank Kaulig in Chicago in 1939. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1994. She is survived by one daughter: Mary Fran Friberg of Sarasota, FL; one son: Ray Kaulig of Chiang Mai, Thailand; one sister: Mary Ricci of Hancock, Michigan; and four grandchildren: Brett and Ryan Friberg, Brian and Ellen Kaulig. Helen was a homemaker for most of her life. She, along with her husband, moved to Hume, IL in 1947 when Frank purchased the International Harvester dealership in Metcalf, IL. After retiring Helen and Frank lived in Wisconsin, Florida, and Illinois. A memorial service for Helen will be held at 11 am on December 15, 2007 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Hume. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center was in Charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be sent in Helens name to the Alzheimers Association at 225 N.
