Helen Hillard

Helen F. Hillard, 75, of Danville, passed away at Kickapoo Campground on Saturday September 2nd, 2017 with her family by her side. Helen was born the daughter of Maxwell and Thelma (Snider) Jones on June 17th, 1942 in Georgetown. Helen married Kenneth Hillard on December 4th, 1976. Kenneth preceded Helen in death on December 13, 2004. Helen leaves behind her companion Eddie Pate who she has spent her life with for eleven years, two children; James (Penny) Hillard and Teresa (Jeff) Frazier five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, two brothers; Don (Melody) Jones and Melvin (Darlene) Jones, Helen will also be missed by her dog Camper and several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Helen was a member of the Southside Nazarene Church. She was a Secretary at the family business, Kensco Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. Helen enjoyed traveling, camping, plastic canvas and knitting. Most of all it was the time she spent with family and friends she enjoyed. A Celebration of Helen's life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St. on Thursday September 7th, 2017 at 2pm. Jay Sorrell will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 6th, 2017 from 3 - 7pm.
