Helen Louise Hall, age 91, of Georgetown, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Helen was born on December 28, 1934, in Danville, IL, to Charles and Naomi (Holden) Lane. She lived a life rooted in devotion to her family, making everyone she met feel welcomed and valued.
Helen married the love of her life, Joseph Williams Hall, on January 7, 1956. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2012.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara (Bob) Davidson, and her brothers, Farrell, Richard, and Melvin Lane. Helen retired from Hyster after a long and dedicated career.
An avid Fighting Illini fan, she shared a love of sports with her husband, Joseph, who played football for the team. She was also a passionate gardener and an expert knitter.
Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the lasting lessons she shared with her family.
Helen is survived by her children: Mary Rainwater, Bill (Kathy) Hall, and Kelly Hall; her grandchildren: Dawn (Eric) Schafer, Kara (Jeff) Miller, Erin (Sheree) Hall, Patton Hall, and Heather (Dave) Ray; and her great-grandchildren: Addison (Ethan) Griffin, Jakob and Elijah Miller, Ben, Hudson and Lincoln Schafer, Mike (Lindy) Hoskins, Sadie (Liam Douglas) Pribble, Joseph Zaayer, and Emerson Hall. She also leaves behind her siblings: Ron (Jan) Lane, Sue (Mike) Ellis, and Debbie (Allen) Patterson; and sisters-in-law: Sherry Lane and Janice Lane.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
We find comfort knowing Helen is at peace and will live on through the stories and love that bind our family together.
