Helen C. Graves, 90, of Danville, died at 3:23 am on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Provena USMC in Danville. She was born April 9, 1915 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Clara (Kurt) Borman. She married Donald Graves on October 27, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa. He survives. Helen is also survived by one son: Dennis (Jodi) Graves of Highlands, NC; three daughters: Donna (John) Guggemos of Westfield, IN, Patricia (the late Paul) Edington of Bismarck, Jackie (Gary) Hangebrauck of Cayuga, Indiana; seven grandchildren: John Graves, Patrick Graves, Britt Guggemos, Bree Guggemos-Drapa, Jill Edington-Rodgers, Justin Edington, Clint Hangebrauck; three great grandchildren: Tanner Graves, Benjamin Graves, and Molly Drapa. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one son-in-law. Helen was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, and playing cards. She also enjoyed traveling and camping, hiking, and boating. What Helen loved most was spending time with her family that she loved very dearly. She was a member of the St. Pauls Catholic Church of Danville where she was active in the school and the church. Helen was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother who had the happiest times of her life spending time with her family.
