Helen Elizabeth Graham, 88, of Danville, passed away at 2:17 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2006 at North Logan Healthcare in Danville. Helen was born on December 12, 1917 in Ambia, Indiana, the daughter of John and Margaret (Begley) Gerlach. She married Donald L. Graham on October 28, 1939 at St. Pauls Catholic Church in Danville. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2001. She is survived by her two sons- Terry (CindyKay) Graham of Avon, Indiana and Dennis (Jane) Graham of Canton, Michigan; two daughters- Donna Kelley and Marlene (Bob) Tucker both of Danville; two sisters- Monica Anderson of Lafayette, Indiana and Georgette (Cletus) Windler of Fowler, Indiana; 15 grandchildren- Christopher Shoemaker of Oxford, Indiana, Jenifer (Greg) Crisp of Boswell, Indiana, Cynthia Shoemaker of Boswell, Indiana, Mark (Teri) Shoemaker of Otterbein, Indiana, Lisa (Chris) Reed of Pensacola, Florida, Terry (Kim) Graham of Homer, Illinois, Tim (Cathy) Graham of Danville, Tony (Kim) Graham of Brownsburg, Indiana, Troy (Angela) Tucker of New Ross, Indiana, Patrick (Megan) Tucker of Danville, Gary (Kristy) Tucker of Bismarck, Lori (Tomas) Martinez of Bismarck, Steve Graham of, Beth Graham of, and Shelby Graham all of Canton, Michigan; 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one grandson, one brother, and three sisters. Helen attended Ambia High School in Ambia, Indiana. She graduated from Danville Beauty College. After beauty school she worked at the Parisian as a beautician and a model. She was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church. Helen was also a member of the St. Elizabeths Hospital Auxiliary. Helen loved to spend her time volunteering at the hospital. She would often do volunteer work for the nuns at the hospital. Music was the love of Helens life. She enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and singing. Helen also enjoyed sewing, doing upholstery work and re-finishing furniture. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Helen loved to spend her time with her family and really enjoyed having large family get togethers. A celebration of the life of Helen Elizabeth Graham will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 at St. Pauls Catholic Church, with Father Greg Nelson officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, with a prayer service to be held at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Danville. Memorials may be made to the donors choice. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
