Helen E. Murdock

Cayuga, Ind. - Helen E. Murdock, 83, of Cayuga, passed away at 3 a.m. EST Sunday, November 3, 2013 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was born April 29, 1930 in Cayuga, Indiana, the daughter of the late Fred and Ruby Ottinger Murdock. Survivors include three sisters, Betty Pierson of Rockville, Indiana; Mary Leiter of Goshen, Indiana and Hester Newnum of Kingman, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Joyce Clark of Cayuga, Indiana. Helen was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters. Helen was a member of the Cayuga Christian Church. She was formerly employed by Kickapoo Sportswear, Cayuga Cleaners, and retired from Continental Can Company in 1990. Funeral services: 1 p.m. EST Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Keith Warner; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 11 a.m. EST Wednesday, November 6, 2013 until time of services at the funeral home.
