Danville Helen Dahlenburg, 92, of Danville passed away at 5:30 AM on September 22, 2020 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Helen Wooten M. Dahlenburg, AKA "Little Grandma", began life January 15, 1928 in Greenville, North Carolina to Chester and Lucy (Langford) Moore. For Helen, it has been a long journey of joy and sadness.

Helen went to school in Georgia, Alabama, and Indiana, graduating from Reynolds High School in 1947. She married Herbert E. Dahlenburg January 16, 1949 and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2007.

Survivors include Roger (Suzan) Dahlenburg of Danville, IL, Esther (Rick) Goodner of Danville, IL, and Nancy (Rick) Sconce of Brownsburg, IN; seven grandchildren, Richard Dahlenburg, Robert (Jessica) Dahlenburg of Danville, IL, Jennifer Hill of Bismarck, IL, Kimberly (Matt) Hesler of Covington, IN, Stacey (Stephen) Ford of Brownsburg, IN, and Jordan Sconce of Brownsburg, IN, Todd (Tonya) Sconce of Moorseville, IN; nine great-grandchildren, Clayton and Haley Hill, Kaleb and Autumn Ford, Bodie, and Addison Dahlenburg, Taylor and Tara Sconce and Kennan Hesler, as well as one nephew of California, one niece of California and one niece of Tennessee.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herbert, one sister, and one grandson.

Helens joy was being a homemaker and helping her sister-in-law working church dinners. They took care of the St. James German Dinner for 25 years, with lots of fun and a few tears along the way. "It is time to watch the sunset, Ill take my chair in Heaven. The Lords Blessings to all. Amen."

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 11:00 EST at St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds, Indiana, 110 N. Kenton, Reynolds, Indiana 47980. Visitation will be held from 10:00 11:00 AM EST at the church. Reverend Keller and Reverend Blakey will officiate. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Reynolds, IN. The family is being assisted with arrangements by Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834.

Memorials may be made to the St James Lutheran Church in Reynolds, IN.
