Helen Clark

Helen L. Clark, 79, passed away at 6:26pm on Friday, May 29, 2015 in Dacula, GA. She was born October 9, 1935 in Hoopeston, Il, the daughter of Thomas and Fern Williams Holmes who preceded her in death. Brothers Thomas (Bud), George, and Jack Holmes, and her sister Marjorie Holmes also preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Cheryl (Stephen) Aurelio and Margo (John) Warren, grandchildren Michelle (Justin) Perdue, Brian (Kelli) Aurelio, Alison Warren and David Warren, and her great grandchildren Josiah and Noelle Perdue as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Helen retired from the Pinellas County, FL Sheriff's Office on January 23, 2003 where she was employed in the Child Protection Investigation Division as a Data Specialist. She lived in Oldsmar, Florida for 44 years. She enjoyed swimming and taking long walks in the Florida sunshine. Helen had a great love for and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. She had a generous and giving spirit and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Thursday, June 4, 2015. Visitation will be from 10-11 am, with funeral at 11 am, and graveside service following at Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to her sister's scholarship fund: the DACC Foundation for the Marjorie A. Holmes Scholarship at Danville Area Community College, 2000 East Main Street, Danville, Illinois 61832.
