Helen Calton

Helen Calton, 65, of Danville, passed away at 10:35 PM on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Helen was born on October 28, 1946 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of James Franklin and Anna Irene (Gilpin) Roach. She married Raymond Calton on November 12, 1966 in Danville. He survives. She is survived by two sons- Carl and Danny Calton of Danville, two brothers- John (Lynn) Roach of Vincennes, IN and James Paul (Sue) Roach of Cayuga, IN, one sister- Ruby Gale Roach of Vincennes, IN, three grandchildren- Jessica (Anderson) Scott, Jennifer Calton, Dalton Vance and three great grandchildren- Rylee Ann Scott, Remly Nichole Scott and Serenity Leeann Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister- Anna Louise Cox. Helen was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed thrift shopping, going out with her friends and especially loved her family. A Celebration of Helen's Life will take place on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Sunset's Oakwood Chapel with Pastor Kurt Sovign officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Newtown Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Helen's name to the American Cancer Society.
