Mrs. Helen M. Cade, 90, a lifelong resident of Danville passed away July 23, 2015 at The Bickford of Champaign. Mrs. Cade was born February 3, 1925 in Danville, the daughter of Albert J. Zeppelin and Helen Fleming Zeppelin Theurer. She married Everett C. Cade on June 16, 1946 in Danville. He preceded her in death in 2009. Mrs. Cade was a 1943 graduate of Danville High School. She was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Company and held several administrative positions prior to becoming a Group Manager. She retired in 1982 after 39 years at Illinois Bell. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Danville, Past Worthy Matron of Danville Chapter #854 of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of Achsah Shrine #65 of the Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem, a member of Mary and Martha service club and a member of the Retired Telephone Pioneers of America. She is survived by a niece, Laurie (James) Dey of Champaign, Illinois, a nephew, Greg (Cheryl) Lyons of Washington, Illinois, two great-nieces, Alison Dey of Champaign, Illinois, Kelly (Josh) Sedbrook of Winnabow, North Carolina and a great-great niece, Charlie Sedbrook of Winnabow, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Rita Lyons and Beverly Smiley. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 100 N. Franklin St., Danville on Monday, July 27 with visitation at 12:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jimmy Hopper will officiate with burial at Springhill Cemetery.
