Helen Barbara Salts

H. Barbara Salts, 91, of Noblesville, IN, formerly of Covington, IN passed away on November 26, 2016 at Riverwalk Village Nursing Home in Noblesville. She was born on March 13, 1925 in Pence, IN, the daughter of Forrest and Lottie Ward. In 1943 she married Charles W. Salts in Warren County, IN. He preceded her in death in 2009. Barbara will be deeply missed by her children; Barry (Linda) Salts of Rochester, IN, Joe (Susie) Collison of Veedersburg, IN, Richard (Judy) Salts of Indianapolis, IN and Chris Salts of Noblesville, IN, siblings; Annie Slaughter of Bloomington, IN, JoAnn (John) Kokenberg of Attica, IN, Beverly Skelton of Bradenton, FL and Gus (Dee) Ward of Ruther Glen, VA, grandchildren; Lori, Leslie, Tim, Matt, Kimberly, Kristine, Stephanie, Tom, Brad, Joseph Jr, Jennifer, Heather, Holly, Heidi, Lane, Josh, Dustin, Blake, Nathaniel and Graham, 43 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Brenda Ashe and siblings; Lee, Kenneth and Dawn. Barbara loved going to church and was a life-long member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Covington. She enjoyed traveling with Charles and going on cruises. Barbara was known for her cooking, especially her pies and spending time with all her family. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 2PM at Maranatha Baptist Church in Covington, IN with Pastor Kenneth Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 12-2PM prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials can be made in her name to Maranatha Baptist Church.
