Helen Arlene Snyder, 99, passed away on September 26, 2021. She was born in Gifford, IL on April 25, 1922, the daughter of Hubert C. and Laura J. Turner.

Arlene is survived by her brother, Max Turner; sisters, Annabeth Stark, Sonna (Ronald) Crowder, Naomi (Roy) Hershberger, Mary Lou Morris; sister-in-law, Norma Turner and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mossie Kate; brothers, Clarence Turner, Lewis Turner; brothers-in-law, Russell Stark, John Morris; sisters-in-law, Barbara Turner, Reva Turner and Joyce Turner

Arlene graduated from Perrysville High School class of 1940. She worked for Florsheim Shoe Company for many years before becoming a front desk receptionist at Holiday Inn and Super 8. Arlene enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and watching the birds. She truly loved spending time with her family and pets.

A Celebration of Arlenes life will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 with Michael Turner officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10am to 11am.
