GEORGETOWN - Hattie Billie Dickerson, 78, of Georgetown, passed this life at 11:30pm on Tuesday, January 10th, 2006, at her home. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, January 14th, 2006, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home at 200 E West Street, Georgetown. Pastor Jerry Vincent will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, January 13th, 2006, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com . Billie was born on May 17th, 1927, in Crestwood, KY. She worked at Radio Condenser in Hoopeston for 7 years and at General Electric for 8 years. She loved to garden, travel and work crossword puzzles, and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Danville. Billie was preceded in death by her father, William L. Burton, and her mother, Alice (Largent) Burton, her sister, Anna Ma Streible, her brother, Ernest Burton, her nephews, William L. Streible and Harold Streible. She was also preceded by her first husband, Daniel O. Baker on April 1st, 1976, whom she married on September 5th, 1945. Billie married Donald P. Dickerson on December 17th, 1976, in Hoopeston. He survives of Georgetown. Other survivors include: her daughter, Gayle (Carl) Fortner of Gessie, IN; her granddaughters, Tammy (Robin) Bruno of Pinellas Park, FL, Donna (Kevin) Watkins of Danville, and Patti Elliott of Danville; her grandson, Troy (Stephanie) Fortner of Largo, FL; her seven great granddaughters and seven great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
