Harvey Leroy Reasor

Danville - Harvey LeRoy Reasor, 75, passed away on Sunday July 2, 2017 at VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville, IL. He was born on July 2, 1942 to Harvey and Cecelia (Tintorri) Reasor in Danville. LeRoy married Sylva Jean Monroe on December 26, 1964 in Ridge Farm, IL. LeRoy is survived by his wife; sons Steve Reasor of Danville, IL, Jeff (Chantel) Reasor of Mesquite, TX, and Chris (Becky) Reasor of Centralia, IL; grandchildren Tyler, Jake, Austin, Taylor, Sydney, Alexus, Logan, and Alexis; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Michael Reasor of Danville, IL; a special aunt; and lots of cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his loving daughter Barbara Reasor; parents; grandparents; aunts and uncles. LeRoy attended grade school and high school in Danville, IL, and he joined the United States Army after graduation in 1960. He served active duty from October 1960 to October 1963; one year in the states and two years overseas stationed in Toul, France. During his tour he also visited Germany and Italy. He then served three years inactive duty until 1966. After returning home he worked with his dad at Reasor's Garage. LeRoy enjoyed camping, fishing, and watching NASCAR. He was an avid Dale Earnhart Sr. and Jr. fan. LeRoy and Sylva celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on December 26, 2016. Spending time with his family was LeRoy's greatest joy. A celebration of LeRoy's life will be held on Friday July 7, 2017 at 1pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermillion St. Danville, IL 61834. Entombment with military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 6, 2017 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
