Harvey Knight

Harvey Grant Knight, 79, of Brownsburg, Indiana, formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 2:45am, on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at his home. He was born on April 6, 1940, in Georgetown the son of Luke and Esther {Clingan} Knight. He was united in marriage to Regina Wade on April 11, 1981 in Oakwood, IL. She will miss him dearly.

He is also survived by: his son, Luke Knight; his daughters, Shelli Pettigrew, Kris Knight, Karla (Jeff Russell) Knight, Jill Tucker, and Michelle (Andrew) Knight-King; his grandchildren, Shawna Blakney, Sara Paxton, Misti Knight, Michael Knight, Jessie Knight, Warren Richards, Kayla Knight, Nikkia Tucker, Tessa Wynn, ChiAnne Mosley, Jackson Adams, Rylynn Knight, & Bentley King; his 21 great grandchildren; and his sisters, Marilyn Tuggle & Nancy (Wayne) Nickle. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Charles Tuggle.

Harvey worked for Quaker Oats for over 27 years and as a meat cutter for IGA stores. He loved horses and attending horse shows, as well as fishing and hunting. He brought laughter and joy to those around him. He loved and cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandkids. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Harveys life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Georgetown, IL located at 200 E West St., with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Georgetown. Memorial donations may be given in his name to Kidney Project at University of California San Francisco (UCSF).
