Harvey H. Dodd

Newport, Ind. - Harvey H. Dodd, 75, of Newport, passed away at 1:30 a.m. EDT Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at his residence. He was born January 16, 1937 in Mountain Grove, Missouri, the son of the late William J. and Lucy Kemper Dodd. He married Marie Adams on October 24, 1959 in Georgetown, Illinois. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Cheryll(Albert)Supp of Granite City, Illinois and Patricia Harper of Terre Haute, Indiana; two sons, Randy Dodd of Abilene, Texas and Bruce Dodd of Newport, Indiana; two grandsons, Jordan Bayles and Isaac Buell both of Terre Haute, Indiana and one sister. Harvey was a machinist, retiring in 2001. He formerly worked at ESCO in Danville, Illinois. He was a 1956 graduate of Cayuga High Schoo. Harvey enjoyed gardening, mushrooming and working in his yard. He especially enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons. Graveside services and burial: 3 p.m. EDT Friday, September 14, 2012 at Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Officiating: Rev.
