Harry M. Lyons, 61 of Ridge Farm, passed away at 8:29pm on Monday, January 30, 2012 at his residence. He was born on May 27, 1950 in Danville, the son of Harry and Betty Joan (Lister) Lyons. Both are deceased. He married Chris Bruce on June 3, 1973. She survives along with his daughter, Corinna Lyons-Revello (husband Ken) of Westville. Harry is also survived by his three grandchildren, Summer Rose, Vanessa, and Jason, three brothers, Bruce Lyons of Mesa, AZ, Steve (wife Karen) Lyons of Normal, IL, Randy Lyons of Georgetown, IL, three sisters, Janice Lyons of Oakwood, Kathy Lyons of Danville, and Betsy (John) Morgenroth of Hoopeston. Three step-children, Wendy, Dave, and Steve, as well as his two good friends, Bill Warnigus, Phil Meeker, and several of his nieces and nephews also survive Harry. In addition to his parents, his beloved nephew, John Travis Morgenroth, and his sister-in-law, Teresa Lyons preceded him in death. He was a Danville High School graduate and later began working at Tee-Pak for 20 years, later working at Quaker for 13 years. Harry was a gifted musician, playing the guitar and singing with several bands around the local area. He also loved to restore automobiles, including a 1966 Corvette. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, and reading. He was known for his kind heart, and gentle ways, whether it be toward his pets, animals, or people. He was a jack of all trades, and would do anything for anybody in need. Harry would like to tell his family how much he loves them, and to his friends, remember all of the good times. He will be remembered as a wonderful man whom people loved to know and remember. He loved and cherished time with his family, and friends and they will all meet again in Heaven. We love you. A private family viewing will be held at Harry's request, followed by private graveside services. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Vermilion County Animal Shelter in Harry's name. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville, are handling arrangements.
