Harry J. Vandiver

Harry J. Vandiver, 86, of Danville passed away at 12:20 AM on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at United Samaritan Medical Center Logan Campus. He was born June 6, 1918 in Danville to John T. and Anna (Prast) Vandiver. Harry married Juanita W. Kerby, August 20, 1938 in Louisville, KY. She preceded him in death. Survivors include to daughters Sandra (Don) Setser and Jean Bullock, both of Danville, six grandchildren Jeff Vandiver, Kim Vandiver, Laura Smith, Bob (Hedi) Bullock, Kristina (Kris) Kelly and Nita (Tim) Weist, all of Danville and four great-grandchildren Kelly Graham, Ashley Smith, Amber Bullock, and Stephanie White, all of Danville. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, one son Jim Vandiver, two brothers and two sisters. Harry worked at Sears for seventeen years, Prudential Insurance Company, owned Van's Real Estate, and after his retirement worked at Big R North. He enjoyed fishing in Florida, woodworking, and was a devout Cardinal fan. Harry was member of the Masons, MLS, and attended Ridgeview Baptist Church.
