Gibson City - Harry Edwin "Ed" Miller, age 83 of Gibson City, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 12:40 AM at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. He was born May 22, 1932 in Bloomington, the son of Harry Edwin and Leta (Ethington) Miller. Ed married Marcia Cline on December 31, 1987. She survives and will miss him terribly. Also surviving is one step-son, Gregory Herron; two brothers, Jack (Lyndia) Miller of Foosland and Robert (Debra) Miller of Johnson City; one nephew, Travis Miller; one niece, Christy; two great nephews; and one great niece. Ed also has one special adopted niece, Tryi Walker of Pearl River, Louisiana surviving. He was preceded in death by his parents. He will also be missed by his Boston Terrier "Lady" and Cockatiel "Pretty Bird". They were his daily companions. The family would like to give a special thank you to Clyde and Cheryl Cokeley and Louie and Mary Martin for all the care, support, and assistance they have shown towards their family. Ed was a very handy person and worked at Illinois Bell and Stokely Van Camp in machine maintenance. Per his wishes Ed will be cremated and laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 1 PM.
