Harry Dean Miller

Harry Dean Miller, 73, of Danville passed away on June 5, 2019 at the Danville VA Iliana Healthcare System.

He was born on August 1, 1945 in Danville the son of, Stuart and Maxine (French) Miller.

Dean will be deeply missed by his daughter, Shannon (Jesse) Kennedy of Phoenix, AZ, adopted daughter, Lillian (David) Servis of Danville, siblings; Richard (Bobbi) Miller of Whitehouse, OH, Tom (Debby) Miller of Paris, IL and Connie (Doral) Miller of Savannah, GA, cousins; Amy (Pete) Mitten, Cdr. Joe (Chia) Miller, Megan (Tyson) Young, Erik (Jenny) Miller, grandchildren; Dakota, Mikel, Lilly Ana and Skylar.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dean graduated from Henning High School and enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served during Vietnam. He worked as a machinist at Berkley-Davis for over 35 years and later retiring from Thyssen Krupp. Dean was a member of the Danville Masonic Lodge Olive Branch and CrossRoads Christian Church. He enjoyed going to train shows and was a train enthusiast. He loved his dog "buddy". Dean raised Shannon all by himself and she was very proud of the simple friendly man that he was.

A celebration of life graveside service for Dean will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Danville National Cemetery with Miles Clark officiating.
