As a lifelong, dedicated husband and father, Harry David Lee (February 7, 1933-June 17, 2023) of Cayuga, IN, was granted his final reward to greet his beloved, Betty Lou (Hancock) Lee (November 7, 1934-October 30, 2021) at Heavens gate. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence Jackson Lee (March 19, 1892-December 6, 1964) and Nora Wamsher Lee (February 22, 1889-December 27, 1974). His four children gathered at his bedside as he suffered from a brief illness. Debra J. Head (Lester-1952-2002) resides in Panama City, Florida as does her son and his family. David G. Lee resides in Canton, Georgia with his wife, Delana, and two sons. His daughter and her family live in Texas. Gerry O. Lee resides in Cayuga, Indiana with his wife, Melissa. He has five children (1 deceased) and three stepdaughters. Lori D. Lee resides in Colorado Springs, Co. with her husband (Tony Phelps) and their five children and families. Throughout his life he was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who was a factory laborer, concluding his life-long career at Hyster corporation. In his leisure years he and his wife enjoyed a wide range of activities that included maintaining their rural homestead with gardening and well-manicured lawn. In addition, they traveled not only to visit family but also to explore. As a lifetime Chicago Cubs fan, he continued to follow the league and thoroughly enjoyed a lifetime pass for all the North Vermillion High School games. One of his favorite pastimes was watching classic television to include John Wayne movies. In a review of this mans life, an underscoring of a life well-lived would be his self-sacrificing for others as a measuring tribute to a life well-lived. Through his determination he demonstrated his genuine dedication to his family, who will cherish his guidance and example. A celebration of life with his immediate family will occur at a date to be determined. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and later laid to rest in Oakhill Cemetery, Danville, IL. His arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, DeVerter Chapel, 215 N. Division Street, Cayuga, IN 47928. Please join his family in sharing memories through his Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
