Danville- Harold W. Crawley, 84, of Danville, passed away on June 7, 2014 at North Logan Healthcare in Danville. He was born on July 7, 1929 in Danville, the son of Louis and Susie (Jeffers) Crawley. They both preceded him in death. He married Joyce Moran on June 18, 1950 and she preceded him in death. He will be deeply missed by six children, Harold E. (Debbie) Crawley, David Crawley both of Danville, Marvin (Ramona) Crawley of Oakwood, John (Tamara) Crawley of Champaign, Barb Cline and Carrie (Kenny) Bartlow both of Oakwood. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one granddaughter, one grandson and two great granddaughters, Brooklyn and Lainey. He worked at Western Brick, Wareco Gas, Meis Brothers and Laughoff Grain where he retired in 1994 after 28 years. He loved talking on his CB where he was known as “Red Feather”. He loved working out in the yard and sitting on the porch where he could visit with family and friends. He loved going to the Oakwood truck stop where his daughter worked and visiting with all the waitresses and close friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Harolds life will be on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Patti Wise officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
