Harold "Skeet" Bracken

Covington, Ind. -- Harold Lee "Skeet" Bracken, 81, of Covington, passed away Wednesday (November 29, 2006) at the Lane House in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He was born May 16, 1925, the son of the late Ray and Odessie McLain Bracken. He married Marcelle Harmon on May 16, 1948 in Attica, Indiana. She preceded him in death on October 6, 1999. Survivors include: one daughter, Rita(Ken)Vale-Knouf of Covington, Indiana; one son, Michael Bracken of Covington, Indiana; five grandchildren, Brian(Jill)Vale of Greensboro, N.C.; Danna(Shannon)Foster, Cari(Travis)Wooster and Tyler Bracken all of Covington, Indiana and Meghan Vale of Indianapolis, Indiana and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon and Robert Bracken. Harold retired from the Interstate Sand and Gravel Company as a Drag Line Operator. He was a veteran of W.W. II serving with the United States Coast Guard. He was a 1943 graduate of Kingman High School and a member of the Yeddo Masonic Lodge F&AM #636. Graveside service and burial: 11 a.m. EST Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery, Kingman, Indiana with graveside military rites; Officiating: Rev. Tim Auter; Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 5, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. EST with a Masonic Memorial Service following at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana.
