Covington, Ind. - Harold S. Harrier, 92, of Covington and formerly of Tangier, Indiana passed away at 7:45 a.m. EST Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 27, 1924 in Cayuga, Indiana the son of the late Fleet and Cecil (Davis) Harrier. Survivors include his special cousin, Sara Peer of Covington, Indiana and several cousins. Harold was a farmer most of his life. He retired from Berkley-Davis in Danville, Illinois. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Covington, Indiana. Harold served with the United States Army. He was a 1942 graduate of Cayuga High School. His memberships included the Cayuga American Legion Post #263 (70 years) and the Covered Bridge Antique Power Association. He enjoyed working on old tractors and anything else mechanical. Harold also enjoyed telling stories to his friends and family. Funeral services: 11 a.m. EST Thursday, December 8, 2016 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Eddy Jones; Burial with military honors will be held at Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EST Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the funeral home.
