GEORGETOWN - Harold S. Bouton, 86, of Georgetown, IL, left this world to be with his Lord at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2004. Harold was born on June 17, 1918 in Georgetown, the son of Herbert and Goldie Stowers Bouton. He married Audrey Mariage May 25, 1941. She preceded him in death on April 18, 1994. He married Dorothy Brown on August 26, 1995 who survives. Harold is also survived by two sons, Robert (Paula) Bouton of Chrisman and Allan (Lynnette) Bouton of Georgetown; Two stepdaughters, Jodie (Gary) Poynter of Holland, MI and Beth (Alex) McClyde of Danville; one granddaughter, Bobette Bouton, four grandsons, Brent Bouton, David (Dawna) Bouton, Jared Bouton, and Nathan Bouton; a great granddaughter, Lillian Bouton; three step grandsons, Doug Poynter, and Eric and Aaron McClyde; one step grand daughter Kari (Andy) Anderson; step great granddaughter, Isabella Anderson. He is also survived by a sister Fran Hambright of Chrisman. Harold was a life long member of the Church of the Nazarene in Georgetown, where he served as trustee, Sunday School Supt, Missionary President, Treasure of Building Program, Sunday school teacher, and faithfully supported missions. He and Audrey received the Distinguished Service Award for outstanding service to the church. He served his country during WWII in Italy and was a member of the VFW 3510 and a member of the American Legion Post #203 of Georgetown. He also served his community for 40 years as a volunteer fireman, fire chief and trustee. Harold was well-known businessman in the Georgetown Community. The Bouton Feed Store was started in 1920 by his father. Herbert and Harold joined his father at an early age. He continued working at the Feed Store until his retirement in 1990 when his son Allan took over the business.
