Kingman, Ind. - Harold L. Drollinger, 87, of rural Kingman, passed away at 4 a.m. EDT Friday, September 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born February 20, 1925 in Bismarck, Illinois, the son of the late Clarence and Edith Meeker Drollinger. Harold met his wife of 64 years, Rosemary Beckelhymer at the old I & I skating rink. They were married on February 29, 1948 in rural Kingman, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Russell(Paula)Drollinger of Jeffersonville, Indiana; Annie(Mike)Nelson of Hillsboro, Indiana; Kenneth Wayne(Vickie)Drollinger and Harold Duane(Suzy)Drollinger both of Covington, Indiana; Mary(Perry)Ferguson of Kingman, Indiana and Paul William(Angelina)Drollinger of Clark Summitt, Pennsylvania; 22 grandchildren; 22 great grandchilden; two sisters, Margaret Woodard of Catlin, Illinois and Mary Lou(Dane)Darr of Fairmount, Illinois; two brother in laws, Carl Butts and Robert Clawson both of Veedersburg, Indiana. Harold was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Hines, Beverly Butts and Bonnie Clawson and daughter in law, Tressie Drollinger. Harold was a farmer. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army. He was a member of the West Liberty Church of Christ south of Covington, Indiana and the Veedersburg American Legion Post # 288. Harold enjoyed singing and playing music with his family and friends. He also enjoyed mowing his yard. He was noted for making something out of nothing. Funeral services: 11 A.M. EDT Monday, September 17, 2012 at the West Liberty Church of Christ south of Covington, Indiana; Officiating: Paul Ziebart and Kevin Wildman; Burial: West Liberty Cemetery south of Covington; Visitation: 2 to 6 P.M. EDT Sunday, September 16, 2012 at West Liberty Church of Christ and one hour prior to services on Monday. Family request contributions to Guardian Angel House, 1221 South Creasy Lane, Lafayette, Indiana 47905 or to the West Liberty Cemetery mowing fund. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana in charge of arrangements.
