Harold John Voigt, 90, of Danville, passed away at 3:56 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2004 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville. Harold was born November 15, 1913 in Danville, Illinois, the youngest of 9 children to Henry and Theresa (Anders) Voigt. He married Wilena Gray in Danville, Illinois; she preceded him in death on January 7, 1985. He is survived by 2 Sons- Jerry (Sally) Voigt of New Lenox,IL and Terry (Cheryl) Voigt of Danville; 2 Daughters- Susan (Gary) Reeves of Springfield, IL and Deborah (Steve) Nesbitt of Bismarck, IL; 11 Grandchildren - Michael (Linda) Voigt, Todd (Mandy) Voigt, Linnea (Bob) Jamski, Alisha Anker, Alan (Megan) Anker, Brian (Kelli) Nesbitt, Matt (Chris) Nesbitt, Stephanie (Sean) Blakeney, Terry (Elizabeth) Adams, Christina (Darin) Duitsman and Crystal Voigt; 17 Great-Grandchildren. Harold was the last surviving sibling, and was preceded in death by his parents, 5 Sisters, 3 Brothers and 1 Granddaughter- Jody Voigt. Harold was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church and attended Trinity Lutheran School. He graduated from Danville High School in 1931. He worked as a machinist for Hurletron in Danville, retiring after a long career in 1978. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists. Harold was an inventor, and enjoyed gardening, growing his own grapes to make his own wine. He was actively involved helping with little league baseball.
