Covington, Ind. -- Harold J. Bugle, 85, of Covington, passed away at 8 p.m. CDT Tuesday(September 12, 2006) at the V.A. Illiniana Health Care System in Danville, Illinois. He was born February 4, 1921, in Charleston, Illinois, the son of the late Frederick and Nancy Bensly Bugle. He married Mary Conley on July 2, 1954 in Sullivan, Illinois. She survives. Other survivors include: one daughter, Susie(Mark)Abernathy of Covington, Indiana; two sons, Jack Bugle of Stateline, Indiana and David(Tammy)Bugle of Covington, Indiana; eight grandchildren; sister in law, Katherine Bugle of Charleston, Illinois. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Harold formerly worked at Blaw-Know in Mattoon, Illinois. He later worked at Hyster's in Danville, Illinois, retiring in 1979. He was a veteran of W.W. II serving with the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Charleston High School. Harold enjoyed woodworking, painting and working on small projects. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, especially with his children and grandchildren. Funeral services: 3 p.m. EDT Saturday, September 16, 2006 at the 1st Baptist Church of Covington; Officiating: Pastor Troy Harkey; Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington, Indiana; Visitatiion 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Friday, September 15, 2006 at the 1st Baptist Church of Covington and one hour prior to services on Saturday. DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana in charge of arrangements.
