Harold Hartmann

HAROLD MICHAEL HARTMANN Harold Michael Hartmann, 50, of Danville, passed away at 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2010 at his home. Harold was born on April 3, 1959, in Danville, the son of Hal and Ginny (Postlewait) Hartmann. He is survived by his brother- Howard Hartmann of Rockford, Illinois; sister- Kathryn Grant of Dundee, Illinois; and two nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law- Jim Grant. Harold graduated from Bismarck High School in 1977. He worked most of his life as a truck driver for different companies. He has spent the last two years driving for Jack n the Box. Harold loved playing golf, shooting pool, riding his Harley and hanging out with his friends. He was also played softball for various teams in Danville for several years and was involved in bowling leagues as well. A Celebration of the life of Harold will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends and family are encouraged to show up in their casual clothes and share their favorite stories of Harold. Per his wishes he will be cremated and laid to rest in Dundee Township Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
