Harold Frederick Teague

Harold Frederick Teague, 71 of Bismarck, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at his home. He was born September 3, 1944 in East Orange, NJ the son of Harold and Lousie (Heyeck) Teague. He married Edwina Fisher on March 22, 1965 in North Carolina. Last year, Harold and Edwina celebrated their 50th anniversary with family. She survives and will miss him dearly. Also surviving are his children, Harold (Mariluna) Teague of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Desirie Teague of Danville, and Bronwen (Javier) Hernandez of Danville; grandchildren, Lovelle, Nikki, Hannah, Hera, Harold, Gabriel, and Maria-Grace; sister, Peggy Gecs of Hackettstown, NJ; and several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Teague, and brother-in-law, Louie Gecs. Harold proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then worked at Continental Can (now Ball Inc.) in a variety of positions ranging from a press operator/ maintainer to Quality Control and retired in 2007. He was also an ordained minster. Harold was quite the artist. He liked to draw and paint impressive pictures. Other passionate interests were collecting air rifles, riding motorcycles, and muscle cars, his favorite being the Pontiac Trans Am. He enjoyed listening to Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Diamond, and various Motown artists. You could always catch him cheering on the Detroit Red Wings during hockey season. Also, he loved his dogs. Mostly Harold was proud of being a husband and father. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. A celebration of Harold's life will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Danville. Pastor Wade Martin will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by Danville American Legion Post #210. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. The family requests that no flowers be sent to the services. Memorial donations can be made to PAN Foundation, PO Box 221858, Charlotte, NC 28222-1858 in memory of Harold Teague.
