Harold Dean Ingle

Oakwood Harold Ingle, 82, of formerly of Oakwood, IL passed away at Anthology of Wildwood in Wildwood, MO on June 11, 2023.

Harold was born on November 19, 1940 the son of Harry and Olga (Graham) Ingle in West Union, IL. He married Minnie Marie Brown on November 8, 1963 in Glen Burnie, MD and she preceded him in death on October 22, 2013.

Survivors include his daughters, Lois (Richard) Powell and Christal (Jim) Christiansen, brother, Jim (Donna) Ingle, sister, Sherry Littlejohn, grandchildren Andrew Powell, Rebecca (Jake) Wapinsky, Mary Powell, Mads Christiansen, Annemarie Christiansen, Quinn Christiansen, great grandchildren, Allana Wapinsky, Kyla Powell and Everleigh Powell as well many beloved nieces and nephews.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, John Jeffers, wife, Minnie Marie Ingle, sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Bob Waymire, grandson, Willie Powell.

Harold served in the United States Navy from 1959-1963. He was a longtime member of the Oakwood United Methodist Church. He worked as an Electrician for General Motors, was a member of the UAW Local 579, and retired in 2006 from GM in Janesville, WI. In his free time he enjoyed watching airplanes and hawks flying overhead, family game nights, playing Canasta, Euchre, B.I.N.G.O. and working crossword puzzles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Pattie Wise officiate. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the funeral home.
