Harold Kenneth Cary, 85, of Uniondale, Indiana, formerly of Danville, IL, died May 20, 2009 at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana. Born in Corwith, Iowa, on July 13, 1923, he was the owner of Cary Construction for many years in Danville, Illinois, building 250 homes and small commercial buildings. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. As an avid fisherman, he and his wife wintered in Naples, Florida, for 42 years. Surviving are his wife Betty (Wilson) of 65 years; a son Terry, of Palmetto, Florida; a daughter, Sharon Espich, of Uniondale, Indiana; a brother, Meredith Cary; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Blanche (Bogard) Cary and one grandson. A celebration of life for Harold Kenneth Cary will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center with his son Reverend Terry Cary officiating. Following the service he will be laid to rest at Springhill Cemetery. Visitation for Harold will be held the evening prior on Monday, May 25, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
