Harold Brown

Harold A. Brown Harold A. Brown, 78, of Danville, Illinois passed away at 3:25 pm on December, 7, 2007 at Watseka Healthcare. Harold was born September 27, 1929 in Decatur, Illinois the son of George M. and Geraldine (Rohrabaugh) Brown. He married Rosetta Miller on June 17, 1951. She survives. Other survivors are two sons Gary (Darcy) Brown of Leesburg, GA and David (Dawn) Brown of Clearwater, FL, three grandsons and four granddaughters. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Tom Brown, and one son Robert Bob Brown. Harold served his country by enlisting in the Army in which he eventually achieved the rank of Corporal. After his service, he worked for Illinois Power where he stayed until his retirement after 44 years. Harold was a member of the Danville American Legion and was heavily involved in its activities, including the baseball little league. He also spent his time helping in the Illinois Power Employees Credit Union. A celebration of Harolds life will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 11 am at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Reverend Jim Blue will be officiating. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 from 6-8 pm, also at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association.
