Harbert James Jones Jr.

Harbert James Jones Jr., 42, of Tulsa OK, formerly of Chicago. IL passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2025 in Tulsa, OK. He was born on September 1982 in Montgomery, AL, a son of Harbert and Betty (Brown) Jones. He is survived by his mother, Betty Jones of Champaign, his sister Katherine Jones of Champaign, and a half-brother Bruce (Vivian) Jones of Dayton, OH He is also survived by his  beloved miniature schnauzer,  Major Lazor Elliott Jones. He graduated in 2000 from Rantoul Township High School.  Received his Bachelors from the University of Illinois, Urbana in 2004 and his Masters in 2007 from American Intercontinental University in Instructional Design and Technology.  He was a proud member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.  He was member of the Bahai faith. The family will be greeting family and friends from 10-11 on Thursday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 East Grove, Rantoul.  A Bahai faith ceremony will begin at 11 also at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Rantoul.
