Gwen Karzon

Potomac - Gwen Karzon, passed away on March 22, 2016 in Champaign IL. She was the daughter of Clyde Schmink and Harriet Gibson. Gwen is survived by her daughter, Laurie Karzon of Danville; brother, Clyde Lee (Butch) Schmink of San Francisco, CA; sister, Flo (Carl) Hoshauer of Potomac. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marilyn Hoshauer. Gwen was involved in the Potomac Church of Christ and was very dedicated to Church activities. She also enjoyed gardening and was a talented seamstress. Gwen was an avid sports fan, the Fighting Illini, Cubs, Bulls, Bears, and Blackhawks were at the top of her list. Cooking family holiday dinners and her Texas Sheet Cake were something she was known for. Visitation will be held at the Church of Christ in Potomac on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 1:30 - 3 PM, with a Celebration of Life to follow. Private burial will be held at Potomac Cemetery.
