Guy George

Guy R. George, 85 of Danville, passed away at 7:30 pm Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at The Heartland Health Care in Centerville, Ohio. He was born August 10, 1918, in Danville, the son of Van and Alice Beddow George. Guy married Marjorie E. Lasch on July 20, 1941 in Arnold, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 2, 1990. Survivors include: one daughter, Judy (Michael) Stephens of Dayton Oh; two sons, Robert (Suellen) George of Clearwater FL and William (Carolyn) George of Oakwood; one sister, Mary Jane Haas of Danville; eight grandchildren, Dawn(David) Brown, Doug (Lori) Stephens, Michael (Mendy) Stephens, Matthew Stephens, Lauri (Dennis) Flaherty, David (Jodi) Myers, Gayle (Alex) Moss and Heather George; and eight great-grandchildren. His parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded him. Guy owned and operated the Guy R. George Trucking Company in Danville for over 45 yrs. He was a member of the Teamsters local # 26. Guy enjoyed taking drives thru Kickapoo and Kennekuk Parks. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
