Gregory 'Whitey' Kantout

Gregory R. "Whitey" Kantout, 67, of Westville, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. He was born on December 19, 1951, in Danville, the son of Richard and Jacqueline (Mackiewicz) Kantout.

He will be dearly missed by daughter, Brandi Torres of Texas; brother, Michael Kantout of Westville; sister, Lisa Kantout of Florida; niece, Michele (Jason) Ryan of Westville; great nieces, Alexa and Makenzie Kantout; great nephew, Greysyn smith; special friend, Carla Free. Whitey was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Jacqueline; brothers, Richard and Richard "Zippy" Kantout.

Whitey was proud to serve his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, all animals and spending time with his brother, Michael.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date. As per his wishes, he was cremated. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois, 414 S.
